Chapter 16

Sadie entered Grace’s hospital room still unsteady from Ram and her multi-orgasmic morning. He was going to train her to be a proper submissive. That meant more cataclysmic orgasms with the potent, domineering man, more of the bondage and discipline her body craved at his hands. They were meeting at ten every morning for the rest of this week, although he was unavailable on the weekends because of his kids. They would resume the following week at the same time.

But that would be it. Then this sexy interlude with Ram would be over. Her heart clenched at the thought.

Why the thought upset her, she didn’t know. Nor was she ready to examine the whys behind it. There would be time for that later, when their time together ended. For now, she was going to enjoy the moment, enjoy him and his stellar lovemaking.

Grace looked over, spied Sadie, and her entire demeanor brightened. It was like she hadn’t expected Sadie to return. Sadie’s heart broke into pieces over it because she understood why. Most likely, in Grace’s mind, her family had disappeared like smoke evaporating in the air.

“How are you today, Grace? What should we read, huh?” Sadie said, much more confident today. Ram and his intoxicating lovemaking were doing that for her. He was helping her find her backbone that had been missing these last two years, waking her up from sleepwalking through her days, and making her feel.

Grace waved her over and pointed at one of the books on the chair. Today, they were going to get her out of the hospital gown, and into one of the nightgowns that Sadie had picked up for her.

Sadie walked over and said, “Look what I got you.” She held up the two bags stuffed with clothes that Grace might need.

Judging by the books Grace liked the most, Sadie had figured that the little girl liked bright colors. She pulled out a bright pick night gown with a sparkly depiction of a unicorn on the front.

Grace clapped her hands excitedly.

“You want to put this on?”

Grace nodded.

“Okay, let’s get one of the nurses in here to help me.” Sadie pushed the call button and told the nurse what she wanted to do for Grace.

Amara, the on-call nurse, came and helped Sadie change Grace out of the hospital gown and into the unicorn nightie. The transformation in Grace over something so small was profound. Joy radiated from her little body and, with her good arm, she traced the unicorn.

Sadie spent the afternoon with Grace. She wished she could stay longer, but the bedroom furniture was being delivered that night. The store had called because they’d had a cancellation and could move up the delivery date. That was fine by Sadie. She had the home inspection on Friday morning. It meant she was going to have to cancel her session with Ram on Friday, since she couldn’t be in two places at once. As much as she was disappointed by the thought, judging by Ram’s words that morning, he was only going to be a factor in her life of the short-term variety.
